Small Business Bookkeeping: Service-Related Or Retail Businesses

Tier 3: Annual sales up to 500k: $800/month

$1,600 set up/clean up fee


Tier 4: Annual sales above 500k: $1,000/month

$2,000 set up/clean up fee

  • Quickbooks Online set up/clean up
  • Maintenance of Quickbooks Online for merchandising businesses
  • Monthly reports and analysis
  • Email correspondence
  • Monthly check-ins via Zoom, as needed
  • Advice on business best practices and estimated self employment tax payments
  • CPA coordination
  • Payroll coordination
  • Accounts Receivable & invoicing training and coordination
  • Accounts Payable integration with Quickbooks, via application
  • Integration of sales platforms with Quickbooks, either manually or via applications
  • CA Department of Taxes and Fees (CDTFA) sales tax payment calculations and filings

One Time Consultation:

$250

  • Review of client survey detailing purpose of call
  • 45 minute meeting to discuss questions about bookkeeping, business structure, and/or business financial compliance
  • Follow up email providing review of call and links to resources

Contract Services:

$125/hour

  • Limited, special projects only
  • For larger projects, a fixed rate proposal will be provided in order to keep the process equitable

Additional Services:

Rate TBD based on volume & workload

  • Accounts Receivable/invoicing execution & management
    • Minimum rate of $200/week
  • Accounts Payable/bill pay execution & management
    • Minimum rate of $100/week
  • Payroll execution & management
    • Minimum rate of $500/month
  • Back bookkeeping
    • Minimum rate of $300/month for each month of back bookkeeping
  • Budgeting & Forecasting execution and/or consulting
    • Minimum rate of $1,200 for annual review & report

Bookkeeping services by Abacus & Typewriter are provided on a rolling monthly basis. Clients are expected to
provide payment for the initial set up/clean up fee at time of initiating bookkeeping contract, and subsequent
payments are processed through a monthly auto payment from the client’s business checking account. Accounting
and integration applications are billed to the client by Abacus & Typewriter monthly, in addition to the fixed-rate
bookkeeping fee and any fees for additional services.
